Last Annual July 2007 - Remarks:
A couple of questions from a prospective buyer:
1. When were the engine overhauls done and what type of engines does it have: The engines were purchased "new" and have a total of 657 hrs on them since installation. The engines are Gold Medallion, Continental 10-520's.
2. Aircraft damage history: In 1997 the previous owner replaced the engines and props after an Embry Riddle Student inadvertently lifted the gear handle instead of the flap handle while taxiing off the runway. Apparently, with the flaps down, engines running and moving forward at 15mph, there was enough speed to release the pressure off of the squat switches, allowing the gear to fold. The engines were immediately shut down, but the previous owner chose to purchase new engines verses buying rebuilt engines. There was no damage to the airframe, but the flaps and one aileron were replaced in addition to the wheel well doors. There was absolutely no structural damage to the airframe or fuselage.
