TBM INFORMATION:
The SOCATA TBM has been designed as an all-purpose aircraft, capable of completing numerous civilian and military missions. The first high-performance, single-engine turboprop in its category, the SOCATA TBM is unequaled in the marketplace. Its low-speed performance allows for access to short runways and its high cruise speed (320 KTS) allows for very rapid flights at low cost.
All Socata aircraft fleets are designed for comfort, economy, speed, and safety, with low maintenance cost in mind. The direct operating cost for the TBM aircraft is also less expensive than those of the competitors and offers an unequalled price-to-performance ratio much appreciated by the users
The SOCATA TBM is certified for all IFR flight conditions. It has no temperature limitations (which can be a limiting factor on other turboprop models). It is equipped with a full deicing system:
- pneumatic for the wings and empennages
- electric for the propeller and the windshield
- Intertial Separator

TBM MODEL VARIATIONS:
TBM700A 1991-1998, Initial production model, featuring the P&W PT6-64
TBM700B 1999-2002, Changes include the large cabin door, and RVSM capability (if equipped). The larger door slightly lowers the full fuel payload compared to the A model. Pilot Door option available.
TBM700C2 2003-2005, Increased Max Gross Weight from 6,614lbs to 7,430lbs. Changes include minor airframe mods to the spar and landing gear, and High- G rated seats.
TBM850 2006-2007, New engine, changes from the PT6-64 to the PT6-66D. Increased HP from 700 to 850. New cabin environment system. RVSM standard. Max cruise speed 320ktas @ 26,000ft, certified ceiling 31,000 feet.
