Aircraft is in excellent condition with no corrosion and good paint and interior. Aircraft has unique history. Was called to duty during WWII, and sank a German U-boat off the New Jersey coast July 11, 1942 while operated by the Civil Air Patrol of New York City.
Airframe:
Airframe was completely rebuilt in 1986 by Aircraft Rebuilders in Anchorage, AK. The aircraft was completely disassembled, cleaned, reconditioned, and reasembled. In 1975 the airframe went thru many modifications, including metalizing the wings and hoizontal stabilizer. Other changes include long range tanks, Janitrol heater, emergency door added, and Cleveland wheels and brakes.
