tsio520 nb same as cessna 414 or 340 with a big difference most all high performance engines started out in twins with small turbo chargers and high operating rpms 180000,rocket changed that and put in a large garrett turbo wih an automtic wastegate 2 intercoolers and anneroid fuel control that is why we out perfom all mooneys and we do this with 305hp we cruise at 2300 rpms and 31 inches burn 20.5 gal per hour with a TIT of 1450 at 10000 ft im 190 kts, +24000 ft, 235 kts |
Prop(s):
mccauley 3 bladed full feathering prop, with engine out, it descends at 80kts and 400 ft per min. I used it twice in races from Denver to Oshkosh once from 27000 and once from 17000. They blew our turbos with data plate rivots, twice, but those engines are still operating. I won the race the next year. |
