Known Ice, All 6 Cylinders were recently removed and honed, new rings installed.

- If you are looking for FIKI (Flight Into Known Ice), why do you buy this plane instead of a plane with a low time engine and no TKS (with the idea to add the TKS later)? The answer is simple: Value Added. The low engine time plane will require the installation of TKS at a cost in the mid-40’s and a trip to Kansas to install. After you are done, you get about half that investment back in increased value (Bluebook adds $36K in value, VREF $15K – The real number is somewhere between. Let’s call it $22,500 value on $45,000 investment). But when you buy this plane and fly it for several hundred hours, then spend mid-40’s to overhaul the engine (at the shop of your choice), what do you add in value? Answer: $50,000 to $55,000 (Blue book adds $27.50 per hour, VREF $25. So multiply 2,000 [the TBO] by the dollar amount per hour and the result is your value enhancement added from an overhaul). If you need more info on the numbers, please give us a shout and we can clarify it.
