History
Stinson Model AT-19 s/n 32 was built by the Stinson-Vultee Corporation in Wayne, MI and was delivered to the US Army Air Corp in Dec 5, 1942 as the 32nd aircraft of a total of 500 ordered.  Shipped to the United Kingdom under the Lend/Lease Program, given Fleet Arm s/n FK-845, and was assigned to the 752 Squadron in Piarco, Trinidad, used as an Aerial Photography Reconnaissance aircraft and Submarine Chaser.  Flown approximately 200 hours in military service, then returned to the US and sold at surplus auction to RJ Turner of VA in 1947.  Application for US civilian registration was made but was never completed, so it was cancelled in 1948.  The aircraft shell was purchased by Paul Shacklette/Ozona Flight Service  from E.Heeter and H.Grice in 1988, then sold to the current owner that same year.

The hell was completely disassemble and immaculately restored by the same Paul Shacklette/Ozona Flight Service to its original World War II configuration as a Royal Navy Observer/Navigator trainer.  The attention to detail in this “ground-up” restoration was extensive, down to actual installed equipment and configuration as it was in the Royal Navy in World War II.
