Collector's Piece - Only Waco Monoplane ever built!
|
Own a piece of history; this airplane is unique in many respects. It is the only WACO ever built that was not a BI-Plane, it is a low wing design originally built in 1940 to compete for a USAAF aerobatic training contract. It is currently certified under Type Certificate Data Sheet no. 8ACE restricted category. It is one of a kind and it can be yours. Dean (Wally) Mitchell has had it in his personal collection since 1977 but now it is time to sell. This is one of the last of his collection to be sold.
The engine is a beautifully designed Kinner 5 cylinder radial engine producing 160 HP at 1850 RPM and sporting a classy wooden Sensenich propeller. The airframe was originally built as a tandem open cockpit airplane but later had a canopy added giving it that early WWII trainer look. This WACO can be part of your flying history collection.
