The engines also increase cruise speed and mission performances, and get up to over 402 KTAS at 31000ft with a Mmo 0.70 cruise. The PT6 is considered the most "bullet proof" turbine engine ever built and with the styling and aerodynamics of the Avanti II, you get the fastest turboprop ever built.

I've had an ongoing love affair with ZZ for a couple of years now. There is simply nothing like flying an Avanti II...and I can honestly say that being involved with this aircraft, and flying with the people I have and seeing the sights I have seen from this plane, has been one of the highlights of my life. If you can buy this plane, you should. If not, sometime, just fly in one of these...it's like nothing else ever made. If your mission is consistently within 800 NM, no other aircraft can give you the comfort and block times of a Falcon with the operational efficiencies of a King Air.

This aircraft is the Ferrari of the Sky...take it from the Maranello racing team and the Ferrari’s Drivers, who said: "the 180 Avanti II has not any competitors in terms of speed, performance and style in the turboprop executive aircraft market." It cannot be matched. Try it and you will be hooked. If you sit in the front, you will notice that it handles and performs like a jet--a jet that's built like a race car. And you will notice the best in class avionics suite that's built to complete your mission. If you sit in the back, you will notice the quiet, the room, the ability to stretch out and stand up. Again, there is nothing like a Piaggio Avanti II, and this one is perfect with a pedigree of ownership.

Personally, I think the mission profile of this aircraft is for either 1) up to 800 NM for maximum speed and efficiency or 2) up to 1200 NM for maximum cost savings. As I said before, block times are comparable to larger jets when flying 800 NM or less. But for longer distances, it's still more efficient than anything out there and faster than most.

However, we have discovered that we are needing 2000+ NM trips to go non-stop. Hence the need for a change....

5 bladed Hartzell HC-E5N-3A & 3AL propellers in a unique counter rotating pusher layout deliver amazing performance with a quiet cabin. Because the engine and prop are to the rear of the passengers (the props far to the rear!!) you get quiet comfort inside, with blazing speed and efficiency.

Top of the Line ProLine 21 system with full integration of FMS, Avionics, Wx, Radar, Charts, Maps, Traffic, VNAV and more...all at your fingertips. I have personally flown over 300 hours in this aircraft and I can assure you that it is a rock solid system for the pilot and is uber comfortable for passengers. I have shot ILS, LNAV/VNAV approaches to minimums and flown in ALL weather conditions suitable for ANY aircraft. I would and have trusted this aircraft to perform in most every situation imaginable, in this country and others. Any airport, any where, this plane can get you there fast and safe.
